What was the highlight of La'gent Hotel Shinjuku Kabukicho
Wonderful
Great location right in the heart of all of the action. Shin-Okubo is the closest large station if you can find that-about a 10 minute walk. Staff is very nice and many of them speak English to help you out. Overall we enjoyed our stay here.
Seems expensive for what you get but maybe that's just the cost for a good hotel in Shinjuku.

A nice decent hotel in witb good location
The set up of the beds are kinda "rokkan" style, which I do like. Location wise, it is still within walkable distance to the train stations.

Experience with the reception staff
Plenty of f&b outlets around the hotel. 10 min Walking distance to the train station. Complimentary concierge service for the same day.
Attitude and body language could be improved for Chinese staff at the reception. The room is small but has no complaint since it is the same elsewhere. However, bathroom size is quite good.

What was the highlight of La'gent Hotel Shinjuku Kabukicho
Comfortable, good service and convenient location.
The hotel upgraded our room for the first 4 nights of our stay and kept our luggages at the premises while we headed to Kawaguchiko for 2 nights. The staff were pleasant and helpful throughout our trip. The hotel is located conveniently a few streets from Shinjuku Station, and is also walking distance from several train stations (e.g., Seibu-Shinjuku station). Located at the edge of the bustling Kabukicho district, shops are open till a little later (usual shops closes at 8pm). There is also a Ramen festival event ongoing just opposite the hotel with rotational Ramen stalls going at 1,000 yen a bowl.
The toilet at the second leg of our stay (15-19th Nov) smells a little funky. However, the smell does not seep into the room if you close the toilet door.
